AquaBella is a dynamic blend of dozens of species of non-pathogenic, naturally occurring (non-GMO) microbes. This large variety of microbes enables AquaBella to be highly effective at removing and preventing the accumulation of several different contaminants such as ammonia, nitrates, organic matter, and phosphates in both fresh and salt-water environments.
AquaBella contains non-pathogenic bacteria and therefore CANNOT harm fish, plants or corals. In fact, AquaBella will create a healthier, stable environment in which fish, plants and corals will thrive. Keep in mind that corals still need to be fed.
Yes, AquaBella contains nitrifying bacteria that chemically convert ammonia into nitrates. AquaBella also contains denitrifying bacteria that convert nitrates and nitrites to nitrogen gas, which will then be released into the air.
By competing with the algae for the same source of food, AquaBella may slow down algae growth or eliminate the opportunity for the algae to grow. Note that you should remove algae from your pond/aquarium prior to AquaBella treatment, because while AquaBella will prevent new algae from growing, it won’t kill algae already present.
AquaBella can be added directly from its container into your pond or aquarium. No activation is necessary. For instruction and handling details, click here. To determine how much AquaBella you need, click here.
Deviating from the instructions by changing the amount or frequency of application may reduce AquaBella’s effectiveness. Applying too little will reduce the overall effectiveness. Although adding too much AquaBella will not harm fish, we recommend adding no more than 5X the recommended amount to avoid overloading the bio-filter system, if present.
Neither AquaBella, nor any enzyme product will work in water that is chlorinated. Water should be de-chlorinated before adding to AquaBella. AquaBella should not be used in environments where chlorine is at a high and constant level (like swimming pools or hot tubs).
AquaBella will not be effective in open water systems where water flows rapidly (e.g., creeks and rivers).
Unused AquaBella can be stored for up to 18 months without losing strength. Store at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight or contact with skin or eyes. Keep out of reach from children. Avoid taking internally.
